Qualifications: LTA Licensed Coach D.C.A & U.S.P.T.R

James has coached at the L.T.A’s South of England Regional Centre of Excellence at Sutton where he headed the Primary Schools Scholarship programme. Exclusive of this role, he coached as a Performance Coach on the Sutton Coaching Programme, coaching many high-level club players and county / national level juniors.
Prior to becoming Head Pro at Bexley L.T.C, he held the position of Head Tennis Professional at Blackheath L.T.C for five years, in charge of running the clubs coaching programme.

James first started playing tennis as a junior member of the Greenwich junior tennis squad representing the borough in events such as the London Youth Games and other inter borough competitions. James stresses the importance of starting to play the game at a young age and having fun.
